COMMUNITY BEACHES

We have five community beaches within London Towne. Two are located on Almshouse Creek and three are on Glebe Creek and Glebe Bay. The beach facilities, which include designated swimming areas, are exclusively for the use of property owners, bonafide tenants, and their accompanied guests. There are no lifeguards. There are also a number of picnic facilities, play areas for the children and a basketball court.

Water Quality Monitoring

LTPOA participates each year from Memorial Day to Labor Day, in the Maryland Healthy Beaches initiative administered by the Anne Arundel County Department of Health. The County takes water samples from all five of our London Towne Beaches, and tests the water for enterococci bacteria. Water Quality Levels will be regularly posted to the Department's website and you can also sign up to receive email alerts. Click here to sign up.

After a rainfall, all Anne Arundel County beaches are under a no swimming/no direct water contact advisory for 48 hours due to predicted elevated bacteria levels from rainwater runoff and increased health risks.
