NEW in 2008! 1st Annual
“My London Towne” Photo Contest
In 2008 we added
a photo contest to the events during our Community Awareness Week (August 17-24,
2008). This was your opportunity to show the community what London Towne means
to you through the lens of your camera. The contest was open to all amateur
photographers of all ages who live in the London Towne community.
We are started
this very simply this year with just one category – your best shot of
London Towne. It could be a picture of the people of London Towne, the nature
found in London Towne or a great scene of the water in London Towne. Judging
was done by the following age categories: 19 and under, and 20 and over. We had
first, second and third place prizes in each of the age categories and the
people’s choice award (overall award). All prizes were awarded at the Crab
Feast on Sunday, August 24 2008, where we had all entries on display..
To enter the
contest for next year, you will need to complete the entry form and submit your
5” x 7” print of your photo. Deadlines for the Entries of the 2nd Annual
"My London Towne" Photo Contest will be announced at a later
date. However, photos should be printed as a 5” x 7” print and should not
be framed or matted. The image should have been taken by you in the last 3
years in the London Towne community.
